Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers

It's game time! We're going to have to play tonight against Portland without our MVP or Wesley Johnson. This "Scoop" might be a little shorter without Kobe Bryant to talk about. Soon after the game started, Wesley Matthews went down, hyper extending his leg it seems (not sure yet). Nick Young just did some awesome foot work with a little dance, loses the ball completely, runs down to half court to retain it, and throws up a long three pointer. Nice! Wesley Matthews is back in the game. That's surprising, but good. Nick Young is sharing the ball nicely. The game is staying close through most of the second quarter. Both teams are turning the ball over a lot and missing shots. Damian Lillard is playing well as usual. He's an all around great player. It's halftime and the Trail Blazers have the lead with a score of 47-45.

We're back from halftime. Ed Davis isn't doing that much to help in this game, other than a couple of rebounds. Well, at least not compared to his potential. He plays much better when Kobe's in the game. Their chemistry is developing really nicely. Hopefully, Kobe will be in the next game against the Clippers. Jordan Hill is playing well tonight but he has three fouls. The Lakers have taken the lead. I think Ryan Kelly should take a seat, after all of his missed shots. Enough is enough! These Lakers were doing fine until Kelly comes in trying take over shooting. Not cool!

Wayne Ellington is really turning on the magic, hitting some nice shots. Ronnie Price just got knocked in the face with an elbow. That's a lot of blood... He's out of the game. He ended up having 11 or 12 stitches and possibly a broken nose. He was playing really well tonight too. He should be back in the next game. Jeremy Lin is in for Price. Watching Steve Blake miss his shots only makes me happy that he's on Portland's team now. He has 2 points and 3 assists playing over 20 min so far. No need to talk about that any further. We're halfway through the fourth quarter and the Lakers still have the lead. I can't believe the Lakers are starting to struggle during these last few minutes of the game, losing the lead. Let's see if we can turn this around and quick. Jeremy Lin hits a couple of free throws, giving the Lakers back the lead by a point with 43 seconds left in the game.

Damian Lillard and LaMarcus Aldridge killed us in this game! Lillard hits another shot. The Lakers foul immediately and are a point down. Portland is the second best free throw shooting team in the league. Not good! The Lakers are down by 3. Jeremy Lin hits an air ball. Good grief! The Lakers ended up having too much of a disadvantage in the last few seconds of the game and Portland takes the win 98-94. We really missed Kobe in this last 7 minutes of the game. We clearly lacked a good finisher. Jordan Hill had a great game of 23 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 assists. Wayne Ellington had 13 points and 5 rebounds. Nick Young had 11 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. Geez. Damian Lillard had 39 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. LaMarcus Aldridge had 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist. #GoLakers
